Adiescar // Amorie // Arliston // Isobel Frances
Hot Vox Music presents a live pop / shoegaze / singer songwriter gig featuring:
Adiescar - British singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist recently graduated from studying composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Influenced in all walks of musical life, her composing ranges in style from acoustic pop to electronic rock. Her repertoire has been compared to artists such as Tori Amos, Judie Tzuke, and Gabrielle Aplin. Past shows include supporting Don Broco, Public Service Broadcasting, Leon Bratt (winner Live and Unsigned 2012), and festivals such as Rhythms of the World (2015), Worcester Music Festival, Bedford River Festival, Rock at the Castle (Herford Music Festival), and have travelled around the UK performing shows (Birmingham, Coventry, Manchester, London, Cambridge, Leicester etc.).
Amorie - Combining hyper-metaphorical lyrics, minimal downtempo beats, and haunting vocals touching on the darkness of heartache, Amorie is an electronic pop enigma. Blending inspiration from Lorde, James Blake, and Son Lux amongst others, her sound is a mix of several backgrounds. The now London-based American began writing and performing in her early teens, inspiring a move to Liverpool, UK at eighteen to hone in on her artistry at Paul McCartney’s famed Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.
Arliston - Formed in East London, Arliston is a new project by Jack Ratcliffe, George Hasbury and Jordi Bosch. Jack has worked very closely with engineer and songwriter Chris Blakey (Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Death in Vegas, Lloyd Williams) to create a signature sound blending lush textures, soulful vocals and expansive soundscapes. Reminiscent of Bon Iver, The National and James Blake.
Isobel Frances - With clear, bright vocals and a songwriting technique that combines modern, pop themes with a soulful yet laidback approach.

Mamilah + Support
Mamilah originated in Leeds in early 2017, amongst a group of musicians from all corners of the UK and Ireland.Their awareness of the commonly misused umbrella term ‘Neo-Soul’ for any modern R&B/Soul sparked the Mamilah flame, a flame that strives to exude a more traditional soulful blend.
Inspired by artists such as Judith Hill, Stevie Wonder, Nubian Twist and Aretha Franklin, they bring a fresh twist on what it is to be soul. Since their inception, they have played in Leeds most reputable venues such as the Belgrave Music Hall, Smokestacks, The Brudenell Social Club, and The Wardrobe; alongside Leeds heavyweights Têtes de Pois and Necktr, and Manchester group Children Of Zeus. After their debut London gig at Camden Assembly in April 2018, they are now confirmed to support KOKOROKO.
They are looking forward to a summer playing various festivals such as Long Division Festival and Manchester Jazz Festival. Their newest release ‘Sundrips’ is a powerful ballad that brings back nostalgic Soul inflections whilst maintaining a fresh and organic sound.
